== Q3 Product Launch Planning Meeting ==
Date: January 15, 2025
Location: Conference Room B (Virtual)

Attendees joining: Sarah Chen, Marcus Williams, Priya Patel, James O'Brien, Lisa Yamamoto

[10:00 AM]
Sarah Chen: Good morning, everyone. Let's get started with our Q3 product launch planning meeting. As you know, we need to finalize the timeline and assign responsibilities for the CloudSync Pro launch.

Marcus Williams: Thanks, Sarah. I've prepared a preliminary timeline. We're looking at a July 15th launch date, which gives us exactly six months.

Priya Patel: That works for engineering. We'll need the final feature spec by February 28th to stay on track. James, can your team handle that?

James O'Brien: Yes, we can have the feature specification document ready by February 28th. I'll assign that to my lead designer, but I'll own it personally.

[10:15 AM]
Lisa Yamamoto: From a marketing perspective, I need at least three months for the campaign. That means I need the product positioning document by April 1st.

Sarah Chen: Agreed. Marcus, can you work with Lisa to draft the positioning document?

Marcus Williams: Absolutely. Lisa, let's sync up next week. I'll have a first draft to you by March 15th, and we can iterate from there. The final version will be ready by April 1st.

[10:25 AM]
Priya Patel: I want to raise a concern about the beta testing phase. I think we need at least six weeks, not four as originally planned.

James O'Brien: I agree with Priya. Four weeks wasn't enough last time. We missed several critical bugs.

Sarah Chen: OK, let's decide on this now. All in favor of extending beta to six weeks?

[Everyone agrees]

Sarah Chen: Done. We'll extend the beta testing phase to six weeks. That means beta starts May 1st and runs through June 12th. Priya, you'll lead the beta program.

Priya Patel: Understood. I'll prepare the beta testing plan by March 31st and recruit beta testers by April 15th.

[10:40 AM]
Lisa Yamamoto: I also want to confirm -- are we going with the freemium model or the trial-based model?

Marcus Williams: Based on the market research I presented last week, I recommend freemium. The conversion rates are significantly better in our segment.

Sarah Chen: Let's go with freemium. That's our second decision today -- CloudSync Pro will use a freemium pricing model.

James O'Brien: That affects the onboarding flow. I'll need to redesign the signup experience. I can have the updated UX mockups by March 1st.

[10:55 AM]
Sarah Chen: Great. Let me also mention that we've decided to allocate $150,000 for the launch marketing budget. Lisa, that's your budget to manage.

Lisa Yamamoto: Thank you. I'll prepare a detailed budget breakdown by February 15th.

Sarah Chen: One last thing. We need a launch readiness review meeting before beta starts. Let's schedule that for April 25th. Everyone must present their status at that meeting.

Marcus Williams: Should we also set up a weekly sync until launch?

Sarah Chen: Good idea. Let's start biweekly syncs beginning February 1st and switch to weekly after April 1st. Our next meeting will be on January 29, 2025.

[11:00 AM]
Sarah Chen: To summarize our decisions today: July 15th launch date, six-week beta period, freemium pricing model, and $150,000 marketing budget. Any questions? No? Great, see everyone on the 29th.
